A detainee may be received or detained in prison only in connection with a decision issued by a competent court with which the pre-trial detention is determined or continued. The decision is delivered to the prison and the detained person.

The detainees are placed in separate departments in the prison separate from the convicted persons. Depending on the available accommodation facilities, the director of the prison or an authorized official person deploys the detainees to the detention unit of the prison. During the duration of the detention measure for security reasons, the detained person may be moved from a room to a room. Minors detained are accommodated separately from adults.

The visit of detained persons is carried out every day from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with received court approval.

The detainee can receive packages of up to 5 kg weight with clothes, footwear, bedding or personal items as well as food products that are personally delivered or sent by mail. The sender or the bearer of the package should provide an inventory of the content. Packets sent by mail are received every day. The director of the prison with the daily schedule determines the days and time in which the packages are received.

The detention of a detained person shall be carried out only upon a written order from the court conducting the procedure. Conduct of a detainee is carried out by members of the security sector of the prison. The enforcement order shall be kept in appropriate documentation for detained persons until the completion of the procedure. The dismissal of the detained person shall be carried out after a final decision by the court conducting the procedure. The prison authority releases the detained person after receiving the decision at the appointed time.
